A meaningful place in nature. Safe. Comfortable. Fun. Perfect for gathering or for some time alone off the grid. That’s been the vision since I’ve been a kid. and. even more so, when I had kids of my own.
A few years ago I decided to make the vision a reality, developing land that had been in the family since 1858 into a park and camping area. If I didn’t know how to do something I would research it, talk to experts, and learn by doing.
Its been a long, strange, and wonderful trip so far and I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned.
I want to share what I’ve learned with you, along with insight from other hosts, guests, and other experts.
The park has come a very long way since then, and after gaining hosting experience (Two time Airbnb Super Host and Guest Favorite in 2024!) things are ready to take off in 2025. Next will be more campsites by the creek and tree houses in the pines (because who doesn’t love treehouses?!) From Our Amazing Guests
"Love this place, I’ve stayed here many times. Simple, peaceful and always clean. Will be back!!"
"It was exactly what my fiancé and I were looking for. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful... When we walked down there saw a blue heron by the water and the next morning a deer was eating crab apples right outside of our window. The inside was very clean and cute. It was only about 25 minutes from town and about 30 minutes from Letchworth State Park. Definitely worth the stay."
"A beautiful and peaceful place to stay. It’s obvious Joseph has put a lot of thought and care into the entire design, layout and amenities of the park. My friends and I were very impressed and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great rural getaway for a few days. Very convenient to the Birdsall inn and area Attractions like the many state forests and Letchworth!!"
"My family and I had a wonderful time. We grilled, had a fire and fished (caught a small bass). I can’t wait to come back. Cabin was spotless & exceeded our expectations."
"This was the first time I used AirBnB and I was pleasantly surprised about how easy it was. The space was clean, new, and private. Joseph was very responsive and the place was stocked with fire wood, grill, bottled water, and much more. I would recommend this listing to anyone, especially those who are looking for a camping feel without the tent. Plus, the location was close to Letchworth State Park. We are hoping to come back next summer!"
"The place was exactly as described, very clean, and homey. There were plenty of little extras provided that were unexpected, and he was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend."
"This is a great hidden gem. We were in town for the eclipse and were lucky enough to find this place."
"Joseph's cabins are a unique stay for people who love the outdoors but want warm beds."
